The theory
Abilities
- Main Element: Frost
- Primary Ability: Current Chain (Shoot out a spark of electricity that chains towards the 3 closest enemies and applies Frostbite)
- Secondary Ability: Subzero Node (Spawn a node that grants increased Speed, Critical Chance, and Fire Rate when in range)
Perks
- Transfusion (Heal for 25% of damage dealt to enemies affected by Bleed)
- Gushing Chillblain (Apply 5 Bleed stacks when enemies become Frostbite Stun)
- Fatal Wound (Execute enemies with Bleed below 50% health)
How does this build work?
I tried to get as much attack speed as I could get because bosses later in the abyss take 1 damage anyway. The seconday ability Subzero Node helps a lot with that. You press your ultimate, spawn a bunch of nodes and get a pretty solid burst window.
I took the element frost because it applies Bleed when the enemies gets Frostbite. With Transfusion you heal yourself and with Fatal Wound you execute enemies with Bleed. Fatal Wound is a must have for me, because fights take so long at higher abyss levels.
So enemies are constantly frozen, I heal myself and do a lot of damage because I have such high attack speed.
Catalyzers
I tested a bit around with the catalyzers and found out that you get pretty tanky if you have armor in this game. First I tried a lot of attack speed and some hp but got oneshotted at abyss level 110 or something. Then I switched out for armor and I had no problems surviving in Abyss 160+.

Status effects
Up to 5 stacks of Cryo damage over time; at 5 stacks they clear and stun the victim.
The stun from maxing Frostbite: the enemy briefly cannot move or attack.
Slam into the ground, damaging nearby enemies. The slam size and damage scales with the number of charges.
Blink a short distance, becoming Invulnerable and Invisible while teleporting.
Swiftly swarm the field with 6 network nodes.
Send a spark of electricity that chains towards the 3 closest enemies.

First of all, wonderful build :)
I think if you can change your element to neutral you can save a slot for survival perks since neutral attack can apply bleeding directly
This shows only an isolated boss fight with no waves before or after. Is there a reason for that?
Next, you have a singular boss that is already damaged when you start recording. Boss rooms entered in Wrangler normally have 2 or 3 bosses.
So the vid shows it can do a pre injured isolated boss fight on abyss 180 wrangler but not that it actually got there on Wrangler. Which is honestly more important with how much more dangerous the random spawns are and the fact you can literally change difficulty mid fight.
You make some good points, and I'm looking into how we can:
1. reward the ones who provide proof
2. encourage others to do the same
Still figuring out the best way to handle the rest, but the goal is to make solid, proven builds stand out.
This matters because between Collector and Wrangler: you take 4x more damage and deal only 25% of yours.
So for me personally it's annoying to see RayCorso's or Azeil's stuff get knocked down by unconfirmed ones. Especially if someone invests into a build only to find out it actually can't make the climb up solely on Wrangler.
I think having two categories might be the easiest option. Having one for self reported abyss builds like it is now. Then an official ranking for wrangler abyss runs with proven videos like RayCorso and Azeil have.
Still think it's not enough though. Hey, you know what? If you like this kind of discussion, come to our Discord and we can share more thoughts! https://discord.gg/JrvpMAQBRU
